Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Any flowers that connect you to a special moment, memory or person would be great to preserve in some way. Prom, homecoming, graduation, a new baby, adoption, first date, anniversary, birthday, etc. are common examples.
While I cannot create a two-dimensional piece with flowers that have not been pressed, I may be able to preserve dried flowers in a variety of resin keepsakes or jewelry, depending on their age and condition.
It's normal for flowers to shrink and/or change color as moisture is extracted during the preservation process. Reds tend to become darker, while whites turn a sepia tone. Some flowers have other quirks, so it's important to talk about expectations for how they'll come out ahead of time.
I do not use paint, dye, pigments or color enhancements in my preservation work.
Also note that the clarity of resin pieces will change over time to a more amber color.
Sure. Just indicate that on your order (with the dimensions of the photo or invitation) and ensure I have the item before we enter the design phase of your preservation.
I work to preserve as many of your flowers as possible. While most can be preserved by some method, there are some that simply don't respond well to any process and may need to be discarded. Flowers that do not arrive in good condition cannot be preserved.
Unused pieces will not be returned unless requested. Please let me know in your contract if you need anything back aside from your finished products.
I provide a video and written instructions for how to package your flowers so they arrive in the best condition. I also take great care with how I package your finished products. Damage during shipping is the responsibility of the carrier. You can always purchase shipping insurance if this is something you are concerned about.
Light and moisture are enemies of preserved pieces.
